Field Hunting.

Cobaw Sporting has access to some of the best exotic bird hunting available in Australia. Our speciality is in providing rough shooting over spaniels and pointing dogs. During the bird hunting season , April through to September, we can offer your party wonderful shooting in Victoria and Tasmania.

The Cobaw Shoot. At Cobaw our objective is the present to you sporting birds in a beautiful country environment. Located only one hour from Melbourne Airport our walked up shoot is set in a valley edged by bracken fern rises.

On your shoot day you will be accompanied by our experianced game keepers and their trained gun dogs. You should expect to see some very good dog work, wild flying birds, all the time in good company.

The shoot will be tailored to suit your needs and you may bring your own dog by arrangement. At the conclusion of the shoot take your birds for trophies, or dress them for the table, they are superb eating!

The Tasmanian Shoot. The bag comprises Pheasant, Partridge and Bob White Quail, and is unlimited. The shoot is set in a magnificent environment, surrounding trout lakes. The weekend commences with arrival in Launceston on Friday morning and then luncheon on route to Currawong Lakes. A sporting clays shoot is conducted on Friday afternoon, and then dinner at the BBQ Lodge. Saturday is a full day of rough shooting over experienced flushing dogs. Saturday evening is the Shoot Dinner. Sunday, following breakfast there is a morning of shooting. Then lunch and departure.

Cobaw Sporting will arrange shooting for your party, at the best time of the season. If you are a single gun, or do not have a party of  six, we will arrange a compatible group for you to shoot with.
